  26. find this application a useful extension to your handheld

  29. DayNotez installs in a 30 day evaluation mode.  The
  30. full product feature set is available for your use.  After
  31. 30 days the ability to create new notes is disabled until a

  41. 2.0  Quick Start Steps
  42. ============================================================

  44. The following steps will get you up and running with DayNotez.
  45.  
  46. 1) Run the setup program from the DayNotez CD.  If
  47.    the install files where downloaded from Natara's web site,
  48.    unzip the files into a temporary directory and
  49.    run the setup program from that location.
  50.  
  51. 2) The install script creates a start menu item that will
  52.    install the application on your Palm OS device.  Double-click
  53.    on the "Install DayNotez on Palm OS Device" icon in the
  54.    folder opened by install.  Or, find this menu item on
  55.    "Start->Programs->Natara Software".
  56.  
  57. 3) Perform a HotSync.  The DayNotez application is now installed 
  58.    on your handheld and ready for use.

  63. 3.0  Uninstalling

  66. On the desktop, run the uninstall script for Natara DayNotez
  67. from the Add/Remove Programs control panel document.

  69. On the Palm OS device, use the App->Delete menu command from
  70. the applications screen.

  74. 4.0  Product Limitations and Requirements
  75. ============================================================

  77. 1) Requires Palm OS 3.x or greater.
  78. 2) 15 Category limit.
  79. 3) Each note is limited to 32K.

  89.   The purge notes dialog now allows notes to be purged from a single
  90.     category.
  91.   When creating To Do's, the To Do will be given the category of
  92.     the note (if there is a category in the To Do database
  93.     that matches the category of the note).
  94.   Preference added to hide the time on the list view.  Shows more
  95.     of the first line of each note.
  96.   After a note is added, on returning to the day view the view will
  97.     be positioned at the bottom of the page.
  98.   Tool added to import journal entries from DateBk, Action Names,
  99.     and PalmJournal.  The tool is available on the Natara web site.

  103.   Tabs are now expanded correctly in the Day view.
  104.   Purging/deleting notes from the details view, with the archive
  105.     to desktop option set, would not save any changes that had been
  106.     made on the details dialog before the delete button was tapped.
  107.   On the Palm IIIc, the bold font was left on when jumping to the
  108.     list view from the day view.
  109.   Registration codes were not working correctly with some 3rd party
  110.     language applications (e.g., InterPilot).

  116.   Added ability to create a memo using only the selected text of a note.

  123.   Limit the export of a memo to 4 KB (8 KB for Palm OS 3.5 or above).
  124.   When private memos are hidden, importing a memo that was after a private 
  125.     memo in the memo database would import the wrong memo.
  126.   Entry size was incorrectly limited to 4 KB on some Palm OS versions.
  127.   Add defensive code to check for corruption that would crash application on start-up.

  143.   PalmPrint crashes under newer OS's.  Changed printing with PalmPrint to
  144.     use another API.  That API is plain text only and does not support bold,
  145.     which was used on the date and time headers.  When the other
  146.     PalmPrint API is fixed, this functionality will be reinstated.
